Hello everyone,
I live in Sunny Morecambe and been riding, trail running for a few years now. Recently swopped my road bike for a Cube cross race cyclocross bike and use it whenever I can. Hoping to do some cyclocross events end of this year. Any advice, help and even places around me to ride cyclocross bike this year would be fantastic.

I visited Morecambe for the first time about three weeks ago, the view across the bay to the snow covered hills had to be one of the best you will see anywhere in the world. Breakfast at the Golden Ball (Snatchems) was great, proper black pudding!

Oh dont rub it in Monty walking on the beach in the scorching sun this morning with my little boy before having to make the long drive down to Dartford for work I miss home

i like Morecambe. A lot!
I used to go there as a kid, & always wanted to go on one of Cedric Robinsons walks over the sands.

A few years ago (2009), I fulfilled that long held desire by running the 'Cross-Bay Challenge' half-marathon, from Flookburgh to Hest Bank
(finishing 51st/237 @ 1.42:52)

I might return this year,as they're running it to Cumbria, so the views will be even better!!!!!

Plus, if we're lucky, we might manage to get a room in the Midland, as there was a wedding party had taken every room when we wanted to stay there

Aye up Richard,
I miss Yorkshire but do enjoy living in Morecambe and only twenty mins from the lakes. Everyday walking the dog on the front and its great for my little boy growing up. I have been trail running around Bowland, Arnside and Silverdale but a problem with my Posterior tibial tendon has stopped all that until its put right so cyclocross is my new outlet. Good luck if you do the cross bay challenge this year and as for the Midland....never stayed there but I hear its nice.
