Names Gwyn from Snowdonia in North Wales (lots of hills), 52 years old and had not bee on a bike for 20 years. Picked up an old road bike for £25, think its a Raleigh styled by "Emelle" but decided to strip it down and it will be a future project, picked up a 2009 Claude Buttler San Remo in fantastic condition s/hand and have been building up stamina slowly over past couple of months, been lurking here for a while but as I have just taken advantage of the promotion code for Crude Road race mudguards at Evans Cycles posted on this site, thought it was time to say hello. Plan is to get the fitness up and cycle to work.

Hi Gwyn,

Welcome to the forum ! I live not far from you - on the edge of the Berwyns. Having a project is great fun; trouble is though, it can become compulsive and you end up half a dozen bikes/frames at various stages of (dis)repair.

You'll find lots of friendly people on here and plenty of excellent help and advice, if required.
