Hi,

First post here but been lurking for a few weeks now....

I've just got back into cycling in my late 50's as a preparation for a long distance charity ride next year that my mate is planning & twisting my arm for.

Got a Dawes Giro 200 to encourage me out. It seems to be going OK although I'm not getting the hours in I need (work/new house etc) but things are getting easier and the times coming down according to Strava.

Living in very flat part of Suffolk so hills are little and far between but I don't think I'd appreciate them at the moment.

I've seen mention of a classified section on here but cant find it - am I just being blind??

:hello: BAtoo and :welcome: to CycleChat ! :wahhey:

There will probably be loads of folk from Suffolk on here in a minute offering to take you for a ride ;). I believe most are quite friendly ... :hugs:

The Classified section is not available to view until you have been posting for a while, so get around the site, join in some of the discussions and extra 'site facilities' will open as you get more involved.

Thanks for the Welcome; I wondered if it was something like that.

Just been out for an evening ride with SWMBO. The average times with her are coming down too.... tonight she agreed her bike is "quite heavy"
so we might just need to look for another one for her.........
