Hi all,

Im Andy from Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Im 37 years young, medium fitness and have a pacemaker to keep me going, Heart does a slowing down thing where it keeps slowing down until it stops.
Im a leisure road cyclist as is my good lady, I have only recently started riding and the good lady 12 months.
I currently ride a 2013 Merida Lite 93 and the good lady a 2013 TREK Lexia SLX.
We cycle or try to cycle several times a week ranging from our 10 mile training/testing run to our Sunday morning 35-40 mile group ride. Our average pace is currently 15 MPH but we are slowly increasing this.
My good lady is doing 195 miles over 3 days in September for charity through work so we are currently traing for that. I think it 75, 55 and 65 miles.

Thats about it from me.

Andy

Thanks Phil,

We are slowly stepping up the training. More effort going into riding on consecutive days than distance. Were are up to 35, 35 40 miles with an average speed of around 15-16mph. I would like Zoe (my Lady) to be in a position where she will manage the ride without issue allowing her to take in the views she will encounter on the trip. I'd love to be doing it as well but her company are paying the entrance fee, and at £400+ its not cheap.

Good idea. I know that personally I can do big distances, but doing them on consecutive days would be another matter.

Those sound like pretty good speeds and distances for training. The actual ride shouldn't be a problem from that base.

 That is quite pricey. Not surprised you're not joining in this time.
