After lockdown started, I decided I’d get the old bike out the cellar (early May) and see how long the commute to work was. At 33 minutes, I reckoned it was doable, and had a couple of other rides.
Fast forward to mid July - I’ve got a new bike (£900 as opposed to the £180 I spent on my original, so seems a lot), and I’ve covered over 1,000 miles. Out most days for 3 hours plus, and have lost over a stone.
Thoroughly enjoying my new bike and new fitness.
And the commute is now under 16 minutes.
