I have never really rated myself as a climber, but I got a bit of a surprise last night.
I was checking over a route I did with a couple of mates sometime last year. It was in the pennines around the stanhope/Allenheads area. There was a fair bit of climbing as you would expect, to be honest I struggled in places (and got annoyed with myself) but never got off the bike.
The route was about 55 miles and i have to sat despite it being hard i really enjoyed the achievement. I finally got round to looking at the route last night and wow was I surprised 20% hills riden by me:smile::biggrin:

Just gave me a little boost. Im fine on the flat/rolling hills but never rated my self much on the big hills (not on my roadie anyway)

just keep at it sounds like your starting to get used to riding the hills, if you keep doing that loop it will get you stronger and you will start to ride faster up the hills and find the ride easier!!
