There's a new real ale trail starting soon in East Yorkshire. It involves 6 pubs & as I understand it you buy a pint & get a stamp in each one & when you have the six stamps you get a free pint
I've checked it out & its 21 miles to take in all the pubs. Anyone fancy cycling the route & sampling a pint or two Saturday 12th July? To do all 6 pubs in one day it would need to be a Saturday or evening due to the opening hours of some of the pubs.

My plan is to start at George & Dragon Aldbrough, onto Blue Bell Old Ellerby, Duke Of York Skirlaugh, Railway New Ellerby, Wrygarth Hatfield, Falcon Withernwick & back to Aldbrough to finish

I'd be game, and would maybe do it as a mini tour....

I have just been reminded of other commitments on this date  & after reading another thread about cycling whilst intoxicated maybe this isnt such a good idea for a group ride. A group of 'drunk' cyclists probably isnt a good idea, even on quiet country roads

Perfect for a group ride, one person buys a pint in each pub, and the organiser gets the free pint as a reward at the end

The trick would be to have a group of cyclists who share the real ale pints so you all get a 'nip' to get to taste the different ales and supplement it with soft drinks...... (perhaps taking a small glass each) so at the end you've all sampled the different ales but drank only the equivalent of say 2 pints (which may or may not be safe on a bike... )
A few micro-brewery taps actually do a taster pint of 3 x 3rd's of pints for the price of normal pint

I'd be up for this jaunt if I lived anywhere near the route....
