Hello!

Forgive me for being massively shallow but I I think I fell in love with the way the Holdsworth Trentino looks in blue and red - I really like the zany/different livery.

My worry is, that for it's price point it might well be an average or even a poor bike and I was hoping a few of you guys with the skillz and knowledges could advise on whether this was a decent bike at this price point.

It's £200 over my budget if I'm honest, but I don't mind stretching to it if it's worth it. I understand a lot of what I am reading spec wise - I just don't know what else is available at this price point.

Any advice would be great - cheers!

FWIW I do like the livery, different and good looking. Bang for buck but like you say, is it a good frame/deal? I have this on my list for N+1 also this http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBHOSTELRIV/holdsworth-stelvio-sram-rival-carbon-road-bike

Nice looking bike, decent spec for the price; as with most bikes at this price it is not full 105 groupset with FSA used for chainset, brakes and wheels - I'd be for changing the chainset as soon as you can as my experience with FSA chainsets is that they are made of cheese; I have no experience of their brakes and wheels tho.

Thanks for the input all!

Ah, I did spot that but I don't know much about FSA products. I don't really fancy having to upgrade my bike at £900 - or not in the first year anyway...

When I got my 2010 Specialized Secteur Elite it said it was 105 but of course the brakes and chainset were not as usual , I upgraded the brakes to 105 at a cost of about £45 and swapped the chainset when it wore out. The wheels lasted 3 years then I got some custom made.

A lot of manufacturers do this I wouldnt be to concerned just upgrade them when you have the cash, I waited until ribble flogged the 105 chainsets off at £68 instead of the usual £200 +

I had the same fsa on my old trek 1.5 and it did two and half years of commuting 17 miles twice a day. The BB needs replacing now but I would say it was fairly bullet proof
