I've been trying to find the route online (prior to buying the Sustrans map) and would particularly like to get the profile.

Can anyone provide a link to it on Garmin / Google Earth / bikely / map my ride or similar?

Much obliged

If I can find a map of it somewhere, I'll plot it for you.

Just a warning - somebody with an evil sense of humour sent NCN 68 up/down The Buttress in Hebden Bridge. You do not want to ride down it and you will not be able to ride up it (it's especially dangerous at this time of year with greasy cobbles covered in leaf mulch). Trust me, avoid it!

There is a nearly rideable alternative - Moss Lane, about 200 yards to the NE. It is a steep concrete road with a short very steep cobbled footpath at the top.

The most sensible option is to ride through Hebden Bridge to the turning circle on the Todmorden side, use that to turn and come back towards the town centre but bear left up Heptonstall Road. The village is worth calling in at (there's a nice cafe there) but it is easier to bear right at the junction halfway up and go on through the woods.

There's a challenge I can't resist! Let us know when it snows up there, will you?

It was okay with snow on it because you could get some grip. It is absolutely terrible when there is ice but no snow though...
