It's definitely Hope's carbon layup - the weave is the same as the HB130 and HB160 which is lush.

I have wondered for quite a while why manufacturers have not done this, as it gets the bike parts in line with the body and should therefore be more aerodynamic. I also thought about taking a step further with a split frame (left and right). I assumed that it was against regulations.
