Prior to buying my Hoptown 5 the only thing I knew about folding bikes is that...they fold and I could take them onto trains.
I've been using my hoptown on my commute in between train rides, with some flat roads and some hilly. I bought the hoptown in an 'ok' condition and with a little bit of servicing know how am now at a stage of considering whether to replace the 7 speed freewheel gear system for an 8/9 speed wheel, cassette etc. Wondering if anyone has done similar to their hoptown, dahon etc. (non Brompton) bike?
