House to rent in Biddulph, Staffs - anyone?

I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is hoping to move to Biddulph but is struggling to find a house to rent.

It needs to be 3 or 4 beds and accepting of housing benefit.

So if you know of one, of even just someone who might please PM me and I'll pass the info on.

You unlikely to find a private landlord who would even consider renting out to DSS tenants for two simple reasons

• The Councils cap the rent at below market levels for the area, so the DSS tenant has to pay the difference, which they are usually not able to do
  
• The Councils have a long history of being bad payers, as do DSS tenants (usually because the councils are also bad payers to the tenants)

Hence the only Landlords who would rent to DSS tenants are those with properties that they could not rent to anyone else.

Try this lot. They are in Longton, Stoke on Trent. We were going to rent from them when we lived in Stoke. We had a nice little place lined up in Biddulph but were then offered a place by an ex client of mine instead, at a cheap 'house sitting' sort of rent. They used to take people on benefit, people who have a less than squeaky clean past and people with pets. Give them a try.
