On my way home last night I wheeled into Sainsburys , the car park was lit up with Ambulance and Police vehicle blue lights , at first It looked as though someone had been knocked down ,( which wouldn't surprise me with the speed some people drive through there) ,so at the trolley park at the front of the store were the Cops and Paramedics , someone was down and a flurry of activity with the Parameds tells you it's bad , anyway in the store st the checkouts the story is some Chap just took a wobble and went to ground , the Parameds had been with him 45 mins , but could not save him, ok, things happen like this all the time ,
For some reason I have woke up this morning and the feeling of sadness is still with me , no saying as to what was wrong with him , but to pass away like that at a Supermarket on the cold wet pavement ,
Dear me ,

It’s always sad when incidents like this happen close to us, it brings home the fragility of life. Just like the poor guy and his family who died in the seaplane crash, even money can’t insulate you from an unexpected tragic event.

Strange how certain things get to you more than others , but yes a sad way to go
True. Aged 70 I vividly recall an incident when I was just 10. A double decker bus had gone over. There were people trapped inside and one poor lady trapped underneath.
@ozboz ......as others have said.....one possitive is no lengthy suffering like so many do. No consolation to the family though.

I'd rather go like that than via a long drawn out illness.

Probably not just yet, but quickly please when it does happen.

A similar thing happened around here the other month. The person on the deck was luckily saved. I think he'd had some kind of fit. I saw him get to his feet and be escorted to the ambulance. What were most onlookers doing? Yes you've guessed it. They had their bloody phones out recording the incident! How bloody dare they film something that is of no concern to them?! I bet some put it on yon facebook, having a little thrill out of seeing their video of someone in distress. It reminds me of when i was knocked off my bike in 2015. I was helped up off the floor to see about 10 f..kwits with their damn phones out, filming me being picked up. Not only saddos but nasty people in my opinion!

Difficult.
My maternal grandmother went down in the street with a fatal heart attack while carrying two large shopping bags home. My father dropped stone dead on the Zebra crossing outside Woolworths in Macclesfield. Both heart attacks and both completely out of the blue. The shock of losing them is something you get over. The sadness that I wasn't there stays.
