...did this happen!!
I haven't had an off...I do clank my legs off the pedals, but usually on the front of my legs.
Weird.

I didn't see this happen either , saying that I did pedal at speed into a tunnel wearing sunglasses . After scraping my arm for about 20 feet though I did feel it a tad lmao

I'm guessing you just put your hand in the drawer and pulled out the first pair of socks you came across. That's the only explanation I can come up with. Frankly, if you don't like them, what are they doing in your drawer in the first place?

Oh........I see...........hat..............coat.......I'll find the door............

I get them all the time usually on the inside of my right leg and usually on the road bike, very rarely from the MTB even when I'm doing the blue route at Fowlmead!

It certainly goes with the territory of mountain biking. It's even worse on my bike - the pedals have about 8 removable studs each, which make a neat pattern of holes in your shin if (when) they make contact with your leg. But they do grip your shoes very well indeed.......
Have you tried spds?

They tend to stop most of the cuts and bruises on my shins, but I'm not doing much any serious mountain biking to be honest.
Can't use them due to my balance issues...I need to be able to put both feet down quickly.
I don't do serious MTb'ing anymore but I am so used to the riding position I prefer it over a hybrid (I'll never own a road bike).
I like the MTB for the light trails and woods...and agreed, it's probably the pedals.
I just realised that the bike fell over at a 'pit stop' today and I caught it with the back of my leg, probably where that came from!

I mentioned buying a road bike to my wife she said that if it involved wearing anymore Lycra than the nether region padding I wear under my shorts and she would divorce me . She said I can come home covered in as much as I want but shoe horning the boys into something that tight is just plain wrong .
