How to delete X box music player from windows 8

my dads got x box music player and when he plays his videos, it defaults to play on x box. He hates it and I unable to find how to delete it.

It's not in add/remove program's program, so how is it done.

Can you not just right-click (or right-click whilst holding shift) one of the video files, select 'Open with', browse to and select your preferred player, and then tick the 'Always open with this' box?

(Assuming Windows 8 still has this functionality)

open charms (wins+c) then click search and type default and open default programs, click set your default programs. click the video in the list on the left and then select set this program as default.
