Being exceptionally smooth skinned, a wipe with a wet flannel is all I need.

As a Blacksmith I've lost count how many time I have burnt all the hair off my arms pulling large lumps of white hot steel out of a furnace.

Snap, but I used to be a 'green' sand moulder in a brass foundry and poured my own boxes, mind you have to get brass very hot to cast thin decorative spandrels and the like.

A guy once showed me how to light a gas oven, the trick is to have the flame going (match etc.) before you open the door and turn on the gas you see, unfortunately the gas was already turned on so when he opened the door there was a whoomph and away went his eyebrows eyelashes, the first inch or so of his hair and all the hair from his bare arms. I am only offering this as an alternative to Fnaars excellent method.

My workmate uses a soldering iron to burn off nose and ear hair.The problem is he now looks like a cross between Jimmy Durante and Dumbo the flying elephant.

I'm not such an awesomely fast cyclist that shaving my legs would make any difference to my performance. Why spend time shaving them, then having to redo it later on? There are better things to do with your life.
