How to find out about someones previous convictions.

As mentioned in another thread, the man who deliberately drove into me and knocked me off my bike has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and to AOABH.

The police have alluded to his previous convictions and these were also mentioned in court on the day of the hearing.

I'm quite interested to find out what his convictions are, as this is a matter of public record I presume I can access this information, but don't know how - does anyone know how I can access this info?

They didn't on this occasion, though we do still have the sentencing coming up.

From what I remember of jury service, the previous is cited when the sentence is explained.

Quite simply, you can't, but as the deptfordmarmite correctly points out if he's sentenced his previous will be put before the court for consideration when sentencing.

Ah, I thought you could as convictions are public record.
