I've got two in white, the only down side is that the neck section does not come down far enough for me, but the buff sorts that out.

Bit of both unfortunately!

Unfortunately it is not the part of the face in grey above that catches the cold it is the red bit, which is why it is red, no?
I bought a balaclava with nose cover and mesh for breathing which does the job but snot is a problem. I also took a tip from a back country skier (bad move) and covered the exposed part with ski goggles, this way the face is completely covered, I felt like I was riding under water what with limited peripheral vision and all.
