Those big mirrors on each side of the van must have been really dirty, either that or he was too damn busy updating his facebook status.

If he can't avoid a 20 foot lamp post then what chance has the idiot have of avoiding a child?

Is it just me who doesn't find that at all hilarious? A delivery driver who is under time pressure, as they all are, demonstrates arrogance and piss-poor driving skills - not funny at all.
Not just you. I've had far too many near-misses from Yodel drivers who seem to think that the bike symbol on the side of the van means they're allowed to drive on cycle tracks. If the Tour of Britain cared about ordinary cyclists, they'd switch from Yodel to a logistics partner that took real steps to improve cyclist safety - locally UKMail seem to behave best lately, parking in laybys instead of on a nearer cycle track even if it means carrying a heavy package further.

Shame there's no number plate in vision. Hopefully the videoer has reported the time and place to Yodel. That driver needs a reminder not to phone-drive, at least.
Although I do have quite along list of types of vehicles that I have a great mistrust of when cycling. These large white van parcel delivery companies top my list as vehicles hat scare me.
The worst are Northgate Vehicle Hire vans - usually white vans with a small green circle with a white dotted circle inside it. They are often on hire to the smaller parcel deliverers, especially in the run up to Christmas, are driven criminally and Northgate act as a liability shield for the hirer, refusing to pass photos or videos on and leaving you with no alternative than to try to get traffic police interested.
