Well did you get the Beast or the Beauty.here in Meanwood,well our street we got the beauty,it is stunning this morning.i opened the window to see how cold it was,to be met with the most wonderful smell of freshness,tangy chilly coolness,it was wonderful.The sun on the snow looks lovely,my next door neighbour has a block paved driveway,the way the snow has fallen and drifted then froze it has held on the joints only,it looks like the lattice work on top of a quality meat pie.Everything is still and beautiful,thank you beauty of nature.

Light covering of snow at 8 am All gone by 10 am.Had a short ride.Roads clear.So far round this area its been the pussy cat from the East,cold though.

Scraped the snow off the car for my wife and daughter going to work .. then two hours trying to defrost ..
Sun shining now and looks beautiful outside, so off for a long beach walk today ..

Round here in North Yorks The Beast from the East has fulfilled all of its terrifying meteorological predictions.
Some of the leaves on my holly bush have been rustling menacingly all morning and if I'm not much mistaken, the vicious biting wind all the way from the steppe has caused my green wheelie bin to move 3cm down my drive. Shook me up I can tell you.
