Sadly I don't have a photo of it, but I once took my old mountain bike to France for the day. Around '87, this would be.
You know those packs of little French beers? 24 0.25 liter bottles?
Six of 'em. Four in panniers, front and rear, one on top of each rack, and six bottles of wine for good measure
All held on with a huge load of bungees.

The cornering was...interesting, if not outright challenging.
Fortunately Calais is quite flat, although I was surprised to find there's a hill up to the railway station.
I'd never noticed it before.

When you can match this sort of cargo then you'll have something to post about.

Ok, Ok!

People rarely leave old cars out in their recycling. Actually, it's about the only thing they don't leave out I think...

Someone I know said they were watching the news once, and it was a story from the Middle East, and all the while the reported was doing his bit to camera, in the background, several blokes were hoisting a car body like that onto a camel, who was complaining, vocally.

I've lost the snap with the 50 cans of beer, so this is the best I can do....

and I can explain the handbag on the handlebars...
