Hey guys,

Hows this for a first bike? The ad isnt the best ever but overall it looks ok. Seller says first to offer him 350 can have it.

The components look decent enough.:s

edit: 350 is cheap enough, if there is anything wrong I have cash to upgrade/repair anything.

I think its an 'OK' deal. Personally id put up an extra £200 for a new bike - Scott Speedster S60 or Specialized Allez 27 (i have one of these thanks to forum recommendation).

Id just be grudged to pay £350 for a 2006 bike.

saying that £200 is a fair chunk more, but if the trek needs more work then you could spend near that on repairing it.

It looks a bit of a mongrel as regards components- which I wouldn't expect for a 2006 bike. Sounds like it has been built up out of what was to hand and I would look at the Specialized Allez for sale on eBay (was £400 the last time I looked).

That actually was the spec for the 2006 bike (i have one).
105 rear mech and brakes, Tiagra 9 speed shifters and front mech.

I'd say £350 was a pretty decent price for a nice entry model roadbike.

But does depend on fit. I tried a Spec Allez before I bought my Trek, and after 5 minutes I felt like a boken backed monkey.... the Trek just felt "right"
