I think they were having problems yesterday according to the news. An HSBC spokesperson on R4 Today programme said it wasn't a hack attack, just a system ballsup. I'm inclined to believe her as New Years can cause the odd issue. I dread them (and clock changes even more) as the software I work on has to jump through a few hoops.

It was a bit iffy when I used it three or four days ago, but I did eventually get done what I needed to get done. If it's still dodgy, that's not impressive.

my check showed "Possible Service Disruption : Our test passed without any errors however 2 users have reported problems in the last few hours. Please check comments section for details."


EDIT: I have no idea what you do if isitdownrightnow.com is down :rolleyes:

Oh goody, they're closing my local branch this month too so now I have to cycle 12 miles rather than 3 to go to the bank...... but they tell me I can always use internet banking. Hmmmm, actually the cycling thing might be good now I think about it.....
