Well, if Gaz get's to hold the torch at 2am on the top of Saddleworth in a howling gale and horizontal rain , it's probably nearer than any of us will get to the olympics, with the farce that was ticket allocation.

When I tell people that I'd LOVE to row across the Atlantic (or any other Ocean), the most common answer is

'Why?'

As well as saying all the things like

'Because I can'

and

'because it is there!'

I tell them that because I am unlikely ever to get the the Olymipics, it would be MY ultimate achievement, MY Olympic moment, MY Gold Medal, and no one would ever be able to take that away from me!

If anyone ever tells you that they want to do something like that, DON'T proceed to sound like the Seagulls' in 'Finding Nemo' by going

'Why? why? why?' (as a pose to 'Mine! mine! mine!')

It pissed us off, ROIT?!
