Purveyor of fine nonsense
I am a clumsy sod at the best of times.

I picked up a knife, fumbled it, it flipped up out of my hands, bounced on the counter top, then slotted itself precisely between the side of the cooker and the side of the kitchen unit - a space barely wider than the knife itself.

10 minutes + a coat hanger + much swearing later, it came out covered in muck.

I picked it up to take it to the sink, fumbled it, this time it flipped up backwards over my head ... and slotted itself precisely between the side of the cooker and the side of the kitchen unit AGAIN!

What the hell are the chances of that happening?

I couldn't make it do it if I tried!

Does your carer allow you to handle sharp implements?

I'm always doing stuff I couldn't do if I tried. The other day at work, I was emptying a carrierbag full of rubbish into a box to sort it. I upended the carrier bag, and a wine bottle caught across the holes formed by the handles (neck in one hole, base in the other), held itself there, and supported all the rest of the contents.

how the hell?
soddit, go out and buy a new knife just because that one fancies hiding from you.
wave said new knife in front of old knife wedged between cooker and kitchen unit and tell it how much better new knife is.

at night sneak into the kitchen with your coat hanger and take it by suprise, it should stay out of the gap having been properly admonished for its actions
