Hey thanks again for the advice!
A friend has very kindly lent me his boardman sport road bike to see how I get on with it! Going to have a dry run at the commute tomorrow after work and see how I manage on the road bike as opposed to a hybrid!
This particular friend goes riding every weekend too so would still be able to go riding with them once I improve on my fitness a little
He's also planning on selling it so if I get on okay there's the option to buy lol.
