I must admit I did get a little ratty when I was off loading a few items that were 50/50 metal and plastic. One chat told me to put the item in the metal the other in the plastic!!!

Our local tip has a variety of containers for different materials, I was unsure where to put several items as they were made of several materials,- One chap told me to put the tressle table (wooden top, metal legs) in "that one there" as I walked up with my next armful another chap was climbing into the skip & fished it out, he then threw it into a differnet skip, I asked him where i shoudl put my next load similare repsonse "over there" 5 mins later I watched the man who I had asked first, fish out my 2nd load & put it another skip.... I gave up afetr that & chucked everyhting into general waste!

Maybe they have been told to use their own judgement. If so that would explain the differing opinions re. Where items belong.
