Bob Mould's solo albums are pretty good too - particularly 'Workbook' imo.
I loved Husker Dü and Sugar, and the Minute Men for that matter. And the Meat Puppets. And Sonic Youth. And since I'm anding, there's another band I'm trying to think of. Not SST. They were sporadic in their output, independent, maybe anarchist politically, totally left field... the Crass of the US! Argh, it's doing my head in! It'll come to me. Anyways, I really liked them!
But then I rate Terry Hall too! He's a talented song/lyric writer and produces quality pop tunes.... imho of course
