At 170 queens it's as cheap as chips, but will probably do what you want. But, it's one ugly mofo innit? I'd rather be seen around town with the saddle sniffer, than ride that!

Thanks for the comments so far guys! I know it's a bit of an ugly duckling (never likely to turn into a swan either!)

@CarlP Wow you must reeeeeaaallly hate it to prefer being seen round town with the saddle sniffer:crazy:.

Wouldn't want to be going too far on it but for your use it looks OK, dynamo lighting and a rack included for £170, how do they make a profit on it?

Decathlon bikes are all pretty solid value for money. Their stores set them up properly too and stand by the warranty. I've been impressed by how enthusiastic their staff are whenever I've dealt with them

It's not going to win many prizes for being the prettiest bike in the rack that's for sure, but it is very cheep transport if that's all you want, how long it is going to last, well that another matter.
To be fair it looks fairly well put together so how long it lasts will be more down to how it's looked after and serviced than any intrinsic design flaw. It doesn't set warning bells ringing the way that cheapo bsos from Asda might. It would be interesting to hear a report from some one who has had one for a while.

Their Btwin is a fantastic bike for the money but the wheels are cheap, oh Boy, are they cheap.. a replacement front wheel from Decathlon costs a whopping £25.

Mind you at that price you could afford a new set every year as the old ones wore out.
