By accident. Pain in the arse.
BUT.... It turned out to be strangely liberating.
Found myself keep looking at the bracket. Was a very odd feeling. It's amazing at how much one look's at the bleedin' thing on a commute.

Sometimes I find...when the olde computer isn't registering and is stuck on 0 mph when I am moving it may be miles till I look at it and realise it is not clocking up the miles.....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I lost 6 miles last week.

I don't use one for that reason, I like to look around.
If I feel inclined I'll check how long I've been out and maybe put the route through a bike hike type site for some stats.

LEft mine at work once, go half way home.....turned around and went back

Well perhaps I have been using bike computers for so long I don't spend all day looking at them....Generally after the ride to see how much slower I am getting....I know how many miles it is at certain points anyway.

I use the Cateye wireless to check cadence sometimes, but generally ignore it - been using them since the Avocet one appeared in Le Tour in the late 80's.............

The one that get's me is the Garmin 705............... but I know I don't need to look as it records everything....... what a bit of kit....could be a back of a van contender though.................

No mate, I dont look at mine, till AFTER the ride, too much info LOL

I generally ignore the computer on my utility bike but its just nice (for me anyway) to occasionally glance down and see I've still got plenty of time to get there. I've found that when I'd forget it I'd rush to much when I didn't need too, not having that knowledge as I hardly ever glance at my wrist when riding.
