I pod nano 5G as commuting video camera?

Thinking about getting a video camera to record my rides. Had a look at some of the cycle videos on you tube that have been filmed using the new nano 5G. I was very surprised at the quality and stability of the footage.

Do any of you think that the nano would be good for this use and have any of you used it for this?

What do you think?

As far as i'm aware the quality isn't too great, any examples?

also you gotta think about waterproofing and mounting.

Is the new nano the one with the camera? I thought you were thinking you could use the iPod as a harddisk recorder.

Personally, I wouldn't risk the iPod to do something it's not meant to. You could break the iPod if you came off/the camera fell off you/your bike....etc

Why do you want to record your commute? Mind you maybe your ride in is more interesting than my ride into stafford. Do you live in the alps?
I've always fancied a camera for my mountain bike routes, what are other people using?

Low light recording is very poor and the 5th Gen Nano is so flimsy I could break it with a power-flick.
