You know the scenario.. You join up on facebook or youtube and assign your friends (people you know), and then some stranger you've never heard of sends you a friend request. I call these friend-whores.
They're at worst addicted to the social networking site, at best taking the piss. I find it funny. Most I ignore.
So as you know, I signed up to twitter. Oddly, people started to follow me. Many of these I know from here, youtube, or are cyclists in general. I've noticed this week my "followers" have levelled off at around the high 50s. I've had notifications from twitter every day though, saying I've got a new follower.
So who are these people? I looked at their accounts and they're management consultants, business people, PR peeps, and something slightly more salacious. Odd how they click unfollow about 2 days after, haha! Anyone would think they're trying to get a subback.
