Thats more than double what I earn. And just for driving a mower up and down the fairway for 6 months of the year too. I'm definately in the wrong job.

Why don't you try and re-train? You've more than likely got the necessary knowledge and a fair amount of experience, just depends where your interests lie, I suppose!
