I have just got back from a 36 mile ride out to Otley and three reservoirs.Fewston,Swinsty and Lindley Wood.A nice early start 09-15.A good breakfast of porridge and honey plus toast and a warm drink.Weather was a bit iffy but a promise of brightening up.
Well by the time i got to Otley the legs were crap,so i stopped off for a 20 min rest and a brew.Felt better onto Askwith and a mile and a half of uphill.Slowly.Down to the first two reservoirs then up onto the main road.Now only five miles away from Otley this road has more downhill than uphill.But after leaving the little climb.I had to get off the bike and i walked for a quarter of a mile.
Now i have been cycling for over 26 years and it is a long time since i have walked.This cycling game is weird.Last saturday i did 48 miles and i just flowed one with the bike and road.
