Most of the time it would be pretty irritating, but I could see the value of being able to get your gps to display an alert on your glasses when you were approaching an important junction.
I wonder whether there were people who were sniffy about the invention of fire, or stone axes, or the wheel. There might have been prehistoric luddites - except of course that they wouldn't have known they were luddites.
