How much does it cost to Oldham?
Good luck!

I did it at Christmas..and still going strong. You can do it!!!!!;)

Didn't use patches but do whatever you need to increase your probability of success....and 'yes', you will feel better for it once you get the initial period out of the way. Don't be weakened because you may think of nothing else but needing a fag for the first few days. Eventually you won't be thinking of it every 5 minutes and you'll go longer periods without thinking of it at all.

Good luck (Bona Sort! -catalan)

You can do it.I stopped 31/12/1999 and haven't started since.

My mate still smokes and says I could only do it and he couldn't because I have more willpower than him.Pathetic.I just don't like being ill and coughing my guts up.

I gave up at 4 pm on jan 25th this year, 10 weeks tomorrow! Yes you can do it, take it one day at a time, you WILL feel better, the hacking cough WILL go, you WILL have more cash in your pocket. I went out and bought a new bike on 0% over a year and its still a lot less than i spent on fags a month. Good on ya, wanting to stop is the first (and hardest) step

Good Luck Looe ... i packed em in for 7 months last year and like a complete tw@t i lit one up when having a BBQ in the garden with some friends thinking that i would just not have anymore after that night

How wrong i was ...

Go for it and all the best.

I quit just over 2 years ago after 45 years. I used Champix, no pangs or withdrawal at all. One day I smoked the next I didn't. It really was that easy.

I take it that's when you plan to go to bed?

When I stopped I found I couldn't stop part way through a day, but managed when I said to myself 'Right, today's the last day of smoking, tomorrow I'll be a non-smoker'. It was hard, but I've done nearly 5 years now, and only very occasionally think it'd be nice to smoke a fag, but it soon passes.

I start work that time.........stop then so I can use a patch straight on...
