The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
I wonder if the guy doing the filming would have found it so entertaining if someone had slipped and done themselves a serious injury? The guy obviously has a lot of free time if he can sit filming that all day. Time would have been better spent going out with a cup or two of salt and throwing it over the ice. Or am I just being old fashioned in not enjoying other peoples misfortune?

Do they work, you think?
Couple of years ago, when I used to walk  I wrapped electrical wire round my boots. I was effective for grip on ice!

There was a woman with those on on the tram platform at Piccadilly today. For some reason she felt the need to walk up and down the (completely ice free, indoor) platform, sounding like an unambitious Fred Astaire.

And drawing attention to the fact that inside her trainers, she wasn't wearing any socks! :cold:
