Ideas for Replacements for LewisKit socks?

Mr Summerdays likes these socks which you can no-longer get. I've just had a go at mending a hole in one of them (and no I don't know how to darn... though I remember my mother wanting to teach me!!!).

What other similar socks are there on the market? Has anyone any recommendations?

The merino ones? Gone in the toes? That's what's happened to mine but I've darned them... several times! I've read someone else had the same problem with the LewisKit socks and has now binned them.

As for replacements, I'd recommend DeFeet Woolie Boolies. More expensive but excellent... AND more hard wearing!

He's a size 11 feet so its probably large or extra large, do they shrink a little?
