IE not working but Firefox ok

Having just got my replacement computer running I have a couple of issues still.

First off is Internet Explorer is not working but Firefox works just fine.

Also all web pages look different now. Perhaps thats to do with setting but I can't find anything that makes a difference.


For example :

Cyclechat looks like this

Sort of all there but in the wrong place and with colours and some graphics missing.Any suggestions as to what I can do?
Also Yahoo Messenger won't work..................although it did yesterday.

I switched recently to Google's new offering; Chrome and have been very impressed. Indeed, I have switched all our home computers to default to Chrome. I had previously used Firefox, but found that it did crash every so often and was getting irritated by it. Chrome seems to live up to its billing; faster and less memory hungry.

Which Windows are you using?

Sounds like a result to me... welcome to open source B)




Have you got the most up to date service pack installed ?
Have you updated all the flash / shockwave add ins ?
Have you got any accessibility tools turned on (eg large font / contrasting schemes etc) ?

Haven't used Windoze for a while, but you should be able to roll back to a stable restore point in Windows System Restore.

Which Windows are you using?

Using Windows XP.

I'll try going back to a restore point tomorrow. Good idea.

Isn't it a new PC? If it is, you are not going to be able to restore to anything!
Let us know if you can't fix it.
