If only i had the sense to get out my phone camera. At lunchtime i was waiting outside Sainsburys in Headingley next to a crossing.Lights were green for pedestrians,i am looking at car discs, when i spot an 11/12 car disc, this thing is twelve months out of date. But best thing was it was covered with a coloured film ie like a sweet wrapper,to disguise it.I was so stunned i could not get my phone out to photo said offence, shame really i would have been down to Stainbeck nick on monday.

Reported the fact that the disc was out of date on a police car, to the driver, whilst stopped at a junction.

A BFPO somewhere
Every so often a DVLA van drives along with an ANPR set up round our way. I have seen them stop, sit in the van I suppose double checking, and then get out and clamp the car and shoot away in a blink of an eye. I think they have to pay back tax and a fine to have the clamp removed or have the vehicle towed away.

I've seen something similar on a top of the range Merc convertible driven by a dolled up to the nines, past their sell by date lady doing a brilliant impression of a bimbo. A photocopied VED disc.

All fur coat and no knickers. Dhalings, it's just SO non U.

get well soon.
He'd to radio the fact in & was told to return to the station. Got passed by him later, whilst going uphill about three miles furher on. With a word from his front seat passenger that "This car is taxed".
I always thought they checked the cars prior to signing them out. I mean any damage not noticed would then be down to them, would it not?

Out of interest what has damage got to do with tax disc?
Anyway emergency vehicles are exempt from requiring a tax disc and only display one to stop people moaning...

Still a legal requirement to have a valid VED disc on display.
Proof if proof was needed, was the request for them to return & have to take one with a valid VED disc.
The one seen was out of date, which was illegal.
