'Mouse' would be more of a light snack for it - up to 2m wingspan. A young deer (or stray cat probably) isn't out of the question. wiki link

I had an birds of prey experience a couple of years ago, something I'd recommend. Amazing having bird fly to your glove, a Harris Hawk in my case - apparently a good bird for starting out with. Guy running the course was saying the eagle owl has some birds living in the UK. Apparently not without issues.

Not really in the same league, but I watched my local Robin chase off a mouse that was trying to steal a nibble at some bread that the Robin was feeding on.

There's an animal sanctuary by me and they've got 5 eagle owls.

They're achingly beautiful birds.

Yes, I've had a Harris Hawk on my wrist, amazing to see so close up - and much lighter than it looks of course. (we were on a social bike ride to a wildlife centre, and one chap quipped that with my reputation for cafe stops and cake eating, he was amazed the bird got to the bit of chick before I did...)

Brilliant video. A 2m wingspan. Hard to visualise, until you think of someone you know who's 6 foot tall - it's as wide as that person is tall!
