The Glasgow Belles on Bikes Christmas dinner was on tonight
There has been intermittent showers all day, will I take the bike, or walk to the train station from home, walk from the station to the venue, do it all again in reverse after the dinner or ... cycle?
Decide on cycling the 3 miles to town -of course , half an hour before I'm due to set off the heavens open. It becomes a drizzle, now or never, I jump on the bike, get to my destination fairly dry.
15 minutes later @Ellebells gets in, soaked to the bone.
Other Belles arrive, reporting a sleet storm out there.
On riding home, it was dry again, if a bit chilly: the minute I closed my front door the heavens opened again, a big downpour.

Now me, I swear I am a rain magnet and I'm going to apply for a job as a rainmaker in drought torn Africa. Invariably, within five minutes of going out the door the amount of times the rain comes on is uncanny. Just off out with the dog now and it is blowing a hoolie of an icy wind so hopefully it will keep the rain/sleet away but it is

Make the most of it Pat, doesn't happen often - but don't get too complacent, normally when I do that's when life creeps up behind me with a needle and a balloon...
