Sometimes dodgy ads can be deleted yourself on Gumtree: Report the ad, tick illegal, say something in the box, report. Go back, and do it again, and the ad is gone. Seems all you need in many cases to remove an ad is two reports, which isn't really fair on the genuine sellers though.
