I'm going to build a snowman

I'm just wondering if an igloo is too ambitious...

But I've just checked on the kids and they both look ever so slightly off colour, and therefore won't be going to school.

I'm going to need all the help I can get.

15-20cm of snow here. School's closed, not that I was going to let miniMikey go anyway. This weather is for sledding and playing in.

Oh, and an igloo!

How about...

Stand your bike outside, and see if you can build a snowman round it, so that it looks like it's riding it! (You'd probably have to build it and then sculpt the 'legs' a bit to fit, and leave a base to support it.)

On you go then, Arch!
I'd love to try this but got my hands full with a half built igloo at the moment... (on a warming up break..)

If I had a garden I would... I could do it on the park, I suppose.

To be fair, I reckon most of the schools have cottoned on to the fact that none of the kids want to be there anyway and they'll only end up sledding and injuring themselves on school time... when they could be doing that at home and its their parents fault, not the schools.

For what its worth, all day I was looking out the window at work (there was a big patch of virgin snow untouched all day just outside) with an aching desire to make a Calvin and Hobbes style snowbeast.

I had a walk in the park and a walk in to town today. Judging by the number and quality of the snowmen I saw , a lot of men had the day off and enjoyed themselves immensely. Quite a few people must have had surplus carrots in their kitchen.

my fiancee and I built a snowman in her garden in the morning,

went to the park and borrowed a friends kids to help us build a fort (not enough for an igloo due to other people having been there)

Here is our snowman we created yesterday:

This morning he looks as if he has been drinking and has a very decided lean.

I've just got home from London, it was a bit hyped to be honest - can't believe that everything ground to a halt! Having said that on Tuesday because they don't grit down our road I had to walk out of the village dragging my case along in the snow to get a lift (Mr Plax refused to drive into the village as you couldn't see the road and people had just dumped cars here there and everywhere) into more hospitable climes in order to get to the train station.

I'm going to build a snowman tomorrow I think. My car is still snowed in and there is a load of virgin snow still waiting for me in the garden, it is nearly halfway up the compost bin still - whoo hoo!
