I'd rather go out for two hours in driving rain than spend ten minutes on one of those contraptions, I hate them. Mine cost a fortune a good few years back, has a lifetime total use of about two hours and now serves as a handy maintenance stand.

Thinking of getting a turbo.

Are you interested in selling yours?

I'm tempted to get a set of rollers. I reckon it could get pretty exciting trying to ride my recumbent on those. Fall off them and shoot out through the patio door!

Agree with gbb and DLB, - while acknowledging nothing compares to being out on the road - a blast for an hour on the turbo (with some decent music on) couple of times a week, helps to keep the legs ticking over during the winter.

Understand the boredom comment, but with music on, I tend to get into a zone which is almost like meditation, and which if I tried on the road would end up with me crashing at the first corner, junction etc:biggrin:

Simply a different way of exercising.
