I'm pulling some very long hours at the moment between my regular job and my business which I work in the evenings and weekends which has just gone mental due to the seasonal nature of it...I'm doing 17-18 hours days atthe moment and don't want to erode my energy any more during the weekdays by cycle commuting so have taken the decision to skip this bit until it settles and either use the PTW or Car

Anyone else struggling with everything else in their lives right now ?

Work has gone crazy as has home life. Solution is to buy a folding bike and part commute on it. Won't be as good as using the big bikes but better than no cycling and weight creeping up again!

I make time to ride the bikes even if it upsets other peoples plans. Without me my household would go tits up quickly so when I'm fit and healthy (physically and mentally) so is the home.

I've done the 'work taking over' thing on numerous occasions (plus family health problems etc ) and stopped riding for months at a time.

No matter what's going on I go out and ride, even if it's turned midnight. I'm happier when I've been out and about.

All work and no play 'n' all that ;)

Bored. Off work following surgery. Can't cycle for at least 4 weeks (having looked at the wound I can see why xx(). Taking it easy this week, then I'll start pottering in the garage - have a sort out, service the commuter, do some gardening. Nothing much. Daily improvements and already off the pain killers !
Why not spend the time you are here on CC cycling instead? I reckon that could free you up a couple of hours a day min.
My business in internet based and run from home. I can mix the two during machine cycles, but there is a human element in the widgets which can't be avoided. Desk Jockey most of the time in regular job which isn't flexible.
It is the tiredness of adding realistically an hour and a half each day on the cycle which is the killer. Up at 6:30, Working until midnight some nights..I'd rather consider cycling to be a luxury than sleep when the squeze goes on. I am missing it though

I'm not missing mine at the moment and for a change I actually am dreading getting back onto it :-(

How much time will driving / motorbiking to and from work save you?

The general feeling of knackeredness and me saying I've had enough at 9:30pm instead of 11pm. In terms of difference, in time, car 15 minutes, PTW 10-15, cycle 25-1 hour depending on the route. The quickest one is not one I favour.

Always busy.

It might still be in the boot, it's just that the whole thing has probably gone - likely being reversed at top speed through a wood with the doors open by now.

How does that help with fatigue ?

Like fossyant, off work following significant muscle loss (basically dissolved - nice), so also bored and off the bikes, and no work for quite some time yet. Amazing how frustrating it can be, not being allowed out in yer bikes:thumbsdown:
