Now you mentioned it, I noticed the quality of the roads more. Ride back felt a lot rougher than the way out!

...it was having to do the ride at 12mph average rather than warp speed where you float over your own bow-wave, so to speak!

Having a week in Southwold and a week in deepest Norfolk for the August hols

There's a very small kinda zoo in Essex called Tropical Wings that has an excellent otter enclosure, really excellent

ditto Meerkats, it really does put London zoo to shame

Is 'Tropical Wings' the one at South Woodham Ferrers? I've cycled past it before now, if it is; perhaps I shuld visit.

We're probably coming back here in August ('we' being my husband, dog and I) for some more cycle touring. It's a good place to relax and bumble around the quietish roads, even if the roads are a bit rough!
