I'm on my todd for a week

Well, me and the dog are. The rest of the Crackle family have left on a jet plane to the land of the in-laws. Mrs Crackle has left a wallpaper stripper in a prominent position, hmmmmm. The dog's not keen, he's trying to talk me into regular trips out. Strangely though, I haven't been left a big long list. I can only surmise that I will be drip fed e-mails and texts.

I dropped them off, got ten minutes down the motorway when this familiar sounding mobile started ringing, aaaaarghhh! Crackle1 had left his phone in the car. Back to the airport.

Anyway, what should I do with my week, suggestions please?

I could do both together. Delamere forest has a skills trail which is normally empty. I could do laps with the dog, followed by the all day breakfast at the station cafe: It's a plan.

Moel Fammau isn't far nor Bewtsy. Yep this is taking shape now. What about the evenings?

Heh heh, me too... kids on half term, and they've all gone down to London for the week with Mrs F. So last night was beer after work, red wine and telly, sleep in this morning... today is fart around on the net, watch a film or two, do some housework and get some food in, tomorrow is lie in, go for a nice long cycle. Next week is work and then down to the Smoke on Friday for a mate's stag do. Been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long since I've had some time for me  Don't get me wrong, I love the Missus and the kids, but this is bliss :thumbsup:

Could you nip round and clean / polish my bike please?
*hopeful*

You're joking, it takes me enough time keeping the family fleet going. I might as well pick up the wallstripper.

Put the wallpaper stripper away in the garage somewhere, you do not want the place looking untidy!:biggrin:

Stock up on your favourite food, no need to go hungry.

Just had two days on my own Crackle, make the most of it.
Save the wallpaper stripping for a wet day and make the most of some quality bike time (i know you will anyway )
Went out and just steadily explored Thursday, best ride ive had in months. Do the same ? Couple of stops for breakfast and cake...what more can a man ask for ?

Favourite food, sounds good. Trip to the shops next. Oh yes, peace and quiet is not to be underestimated, in fact Fnaar has it all in a nutshell, except the dog won't let me sleep in.

A tour was something I'd thought of but I'm not in the mood and my fitness is nowt but middlin' at the moment, besides I will have to make some token scratches in the wallpaper. I shall check the forecast and as GBB suggests, save that for a rainy day.

Ok, you've left it a bit late to start so you'd better get going:-

1. strip all the beds and get it all washed and dried
2. air all the mattresses, duvets, pillows, leave for 3-4 days before making up again
3. wash and dry all towels
4. tackle as much as you can of the kids rooms, but ensure you've got all laundry
5. wash and iron all dirty clothes
6. make sure all wardrobes and drawers are sorted and iron any clothes that need it
7. dust, and damp cloth wipe, ceilings, walls and skirtings
8. clean windows, and frames, inside and out
9. dust and polish in general
10. hoover/wash all floors
11. deep clean the kitchen and sort cupboards and drawers, pay particular attention to those hard to get places and the cooker/oven
12. make sure that the vast quantities of rubbish you've accumulated are taken to the tip
13. sort contents of fridges and freezers, defrosting where need be
14. as you go round the house complete all those little DIY jobs that you've been 'saving' up
15. don't forget to take a little time for yourself
