can i use shimano 9 speed bar end shifters with a campagnolo 9 speed cassette without resorting to friction mode on the shifters?

Unlikely as they use different spacings for the gears. Probably have to go friction

Sorry mate the pull is all wrong off the top of my head you will get 6 or 7 gears ish but with lots of noise

bummer!

9 speed ergopower levers are £50, but dura-ace bar end shifters are £30. i guess i'll stump up the extra for the campagnolo.

Thank god mixing Campag with Shitmano is just not right and just think about the look of your bike with both on now that will just not be good.
