Hi, I’m looking to buy an indoor trainer for the winter, but know very little about what’s on offer. Been checking out Ribble and the choice seems to be between magnetic, fluid or centrifugal systems. I want it to be as quiet as possible and not have any annoying characteristics; any suggestions?

I was thinking of this

or this

Or maybe this, if I was convinced it was worth the extra wedge

I find these are the best indoor trainers

Don't get one with a Turbo - terrible noise - I have mine in the garage..... had it years....

I'd go for the quietest - try reviews from bike radar site

To be honest, if you can get out, then ride on the road - turbo's are terribly boring !
